Estimate ideal download time from file size and connection speed.
Method
Decimal units are used: 1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes and 1 GB = 1,000 MB. File bits are divided by connection bits per second.
Example: 1 GB at 100 Mbps takes 80 seconds in an ideal transfer.
Real-world limit
Protocol overhead, Wi-Fi quality, server limits and congestion can make actual downloads slower.
