Validate UUID text, normalize common wrappers and identify its version and RFC variant when applicable.
Result: Enter a UUID.
What this validator checks
It checks the canonical 8-4-4-4-12 hexadecimal layout. Nil and Max UUIDs are recognized separately. For regular RFC UUIDs it reports version 1–8 when the version nibble and RFC variant bits are valid.
Validity is not trust
A correctly formatted UUID only proves that the text matches UUID structure. It does not prove that the identifier exists, is unique in a particular database, or came from a trusted source.
