Split modes
Words mode splits on runs of whitespace. Lines mode uses line breaks. Custom mode treats the delimiter as literal text, not as a regular expression.
Language note
Whitespace splitting works well for many languages but is not a linguistic word tokenizer. Languages that do not normally separate words with spaces may need a language-specific segmentation tool.
