How the estimate works
Megabits per second are converted to bytes, multiplied by active seconds, then adjusted by utilization. Results show decimal GB and binary GiB.
Real usage varies
Connection speed is not the same as sustained data transfer. Apps, compression, buffering, protocol overhead, idle time and adaptive quality can make actual usage much lower or higher than a simple rate-based estimate.
