Estimate tile count from project dimensions, tile size and a waste allowance.
Formula
Tile count = project area ÷ tile area, then waste allowance is added and the result is rounded up.
Example: A 4 m × 3 m area with 60 cm × 60 cm tiles and 10% waste needs 37 tiles.
Limitation
Layout, cuts, pattern matching and breakage can change the actual number needed.
